New Version Fixes Known Issue
There is a problem in this release that causes Firefox to pause for a few seconds when loading Facebook. If you experience this issue, you may right-click on the Facebook page and deselect Use AtD on this site.
A fix for this is available on our early access page.
What’s New?
- WYSIWYG editor support
- Now you can use AtD with Yahoo Mail, Google Docs, TypePad, and others
- Fixes for several known plugin conflicts and future conflicts waiting to happen
- This includes Text Formatting Toolbar, Down-Them-All, and others
- Support for Facebook Status Updates field
- Support for French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish Proofreading
- French and German use the excellent Language Tool to check grammar.
- Portuguese and Spanish are spell-check only.
- Added an option to let Firefox spell-checker coexist with After the Deadline
- Now you don’t have to choose.
- By popular demand, the default proofreading key is now F4

This addon is awesome. I use it a lot. I have found errors where a script was unresponsive on a website and it would show up as atd. Sometimes there is the ABC thing all over a web page, (youtube comments mostly).
Hi Josh,
I think you’ll like this release then. There were a few performance issues which caused the processing time of text to grow exponentially with the text that was there. I found these in the code and fixed them. If you meet this issue again, email me the site and if possible the text that caused it. — Raphael
Thanks for fixing my two bugs. 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to report them and providing the necessary detail so I could reproduce the issues. 🙂
Hi,
Got another bug for you:

Thanks again,

PS: Your welcome, glad to help.
I LOVE ATD! My typing skills are not always the best and it catches all of my mistakes. Thank you!
This is a great program which I use with some frequency. However, I also use larger fonts than the defaults provided and as a result, when I click on atd to check spelling and grammar, the formatting goes to Hell (larger, bold letters overlapping so that the actual results are difficult to discern.)
I tried to copy a sample but when I pasted here, it reformatted to a normal size.
Is there a fix for this problem? I doubt I am the only one who uses non-default type sizes. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Warren Cassell
Hi Warren,
This may happen depending on the form you’re using AtD with. This latest release of AtD adds support for WYSIWYG editors found in various web applications. The proofreading view of these WYSIWYG editors doesn’t do well inheriting font-sizes and other things yet. It inherits this information from the web-page you’re on rather than the editor itself (which are actually two different webpages under the hood).
The best thing to do is fill out the contact form and specify the web-site you experienced this one. This way when I try to create a solution I can go back and test it to see if I solved the problem or not.

Thanks for adding Facebook update feature. Awesome update.
As a professor, I am expected to write perfectly and when tired, I do not. This little add-on has kept me from looking like a drooling fool at least once a day. Thanks folks, this is being helpful!
